Bending is a playing technique which is performed by pulling a string up or pushing it down with a finger/s of the fretting hand while keeping the string in contact with the frets. Bending produces a higher pitch. The intensity of the bend will define the pitch of the note. This is an important technique that will unlock your lead improvisation skills.
